Tuesdays: 3-week Afterschool Program

Our afterschool adventure is a place where kids grow their minds and hearts with the help of horses—no riding required! Each week, we focus on a different skill: hands-on math activities measuring horses and mapping out an obstacle course, reading brought to life through horse-themed stories and scavenger hunts, and life skills like teamwork, responsibility, and communication. Students will partner with our horses while discovering how academics connect to the real world. It’s a one-of-a-kind way to finish the school day—full of laughter, learning, and a little horse magic.

Get Curious When Life Goes Sideways is a ground-based equine-assisted learning program where youth partner with horses to practice self-regulation, flexible thinking and learn how curiosity can help them respond appropriately when life gets challenging.

Youth will engage in hands-one activities to learn and develop the following skills: slowing down, regulating emotions and accepting feedback.

When youth partner with horses, they receive immediate, honest feedback about their choices, communication, and emotional awareness. They learn that trust is built through responsibility and safety — not just good intentions.

Through interactive, ground-based activities in the arena, your child will partner with a horse to practice setting boundaries, handling distractions, working as a team, and becoming the kind of friend, he/she wants to have and to be.
