#1 Ponies & Poetry in Motion – Onomatopoeia

Onomatopoeia, what? BANG, SNAP, WHOOSH – words that go with a sound. In this poetry program students will take time to listen to their surroundings and create a poem using onomatopoeia words. Listening, brainstorming, drafting and completing a poem to share with the other participants paired with a craft illustrating their chosen horse buddy.

Date: July 24, Monday – One day only

Time:  Choose 9:00 am to 11:00 am OR 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Group size:  Limited to six (6) with a minimum of two youth

Grades:  1st grade and Up

Program Fee:  $40 per child

  • Thanks to a special grant from the Women’s Giving Group, any youth living in Phelps County or attending school in Phelps County may participate for a flat rate program fee of $20.00. No program assistance application needed.
  • When registering for all three Ponies & Poetry in Motion programs – $60.
  • Program assistance available: Program Assistance Application must be submitted. Families will be notified once all supporting documents has been submitted. Families only need to apply one time per year.

T-shirt: Included when your child attends any two single programs, or one is available for $12 each.

Requirements:

  • Program fees are due on the first day.
  • Closed-toed shoes.
  • Signed Release of Liability by parent/guardian (to be emailed to you. Only one signed form per year.)

No riding activities. No prior horse experience is needed.

All activities are completed in an outdoor setting.
