Horsing Around with Trust

Trust is a central part of all human relationships. Trust is a feeling of confidence and security that another person (or living being) can be relied upon. As we look through the eyes of a horse, your child will have a new perspective on how important trust really is.

Your child will apply their skills as they learn to trust not only their horse, but, also their other teammates as they travel through the challenge course.

Target skills: non-verbal communication, building trust, and unique horse vocabulary.

Program Fee: $40

• Thanks to a special grant from the Women’s Giving Group, any youth living in or attending school in Phelps County may participate for a program fee of $10.00. No program assistance application needed.

Program assistance available: Program Assistance Application must be submitted. Families will be notified once all supporting documents has been submitted. Families only need to apply one time per year.

Registration closes: Friday, September 15, 2023

Requirements:

• Program fees are due on the first day.
• Closed-toed shoes.
• Signed Release of Liability by parent/guardian (to be emailed to you. Only one signed form per year.)

No riding activities. No prior horse experience is needed.

All activities are completed in an outdoor setting.
