May Book Club Grades 4 & Up

This program goes beyond reading and answering standard “comprehension” and “vocabulary” questions.

Your child will be responsible for adding to the in-depth discussion of the book through various rotating: Discussion Director, Illustrator, Connector, Wordsmith, Summarizer & Investigator. The youth will also be interacting with the horses in a variety of activities (no riding) to reinforce life skills when it comes to “Tough Competition.”

Book: Book #2 The Adventures of the Short & Sweet Ranch. “Tough Competition” (Students will be given the book on the first day.)

Dates: Tuesdays- May 3, 10, 17 & 24

Time:  1:00 – 2:30 p.m. OR 4:15 – 5:45 p.m.

Grades: 4 & Up  (Independent reading is a plus, but not necessary)

Group Size:  6

Location:  3135 West 22nd Street, Kearney, Nebraska

Cost: One time – $10 registration fee  (Disregard if previous paid)                                    $80 – Full Price (Plus $10 registration fee – unless previously paid)                              $50 – Partial Scholarship (Plus $10 reg. fee- unless previously paid)                           No full scholarships and t-shirts are available for this program at this time.

Requirements: Closed-toed shoes, Signed Release of Liability by parent/guardian (To be emailed to you after registration)
