DESCRIPTION:Get Curious: When Life Goes Sideways\nDoes your child struggle when things don’t go as planned — big emotions\, quick reactions\, shutting down? \nGet Curious: When Life Goes Sideways is a ground-based equine-assisted learning program where youth partner with horses to practice self-regulation\, flexible thinking\, and problem-solving. When challenges pop up in the arena (and they will!)\, youth learn how to pause\, breathe\, adjust\, and try again. \nThrough hands-on activities with horses\, youth will strengthen their ability to slow down\, regulate emotions\, accept feedback\, and build confidence through productive struggles. \nWhether new to LyonHeart or returning\, this spring program helps youth develop skills they can use at school\, at home\, and in everyday life. \nIs your child ready to grow in confidence and resilience this spring? \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDates:   Tuesdays\, April 21\, 28\, May 5 & 12.   \nTime:  5:30 – 7:30 p.m. \nWho:  Grades 5 and UP \nLocation:  3135 West 22nd Street\, Kearney\, Nebraska \nProgram Size:  Limited to eight (8) youth. \nRegistration closes: Friday\, April 17 at 12 noon \nRelease of Liability Form required (one per family per year) \nhttps://www.lyonheartequinelearning.org/release-of-liability/ \nRegistration Fee: \n\n$60 per youth (Includes a t-shirt)\nMust be paid in advance to hold your youth’s place in the corral.\nVenmo: @Lyoness-8077 (phone number ending 0135)\nRegistration payment link – adding a $3.00 service fee – https://www.lyonheartequinelearning.org/register/registration-payment/\n\nAll activities are completed in an out-door setting (corral and activity shelter).   Closed-toed shoes are mandatory.  No riding and previous horse experience needed. \nProgram value is $400 per individual. Or maybe they already enjoy reading and just need a little boost in confidence and expression? \nThis spring\, our HorsePowered Book Club will feature Rain & The Reading Horse by Maria Gianferrari — a powerful story about a shy young girl who discovers courage while reading to a horse named Snow. \nInspired by this story\, youth will partner with our horses to practice reading aloud in a calm\, encouraging environment. Whether your child is building foundational skills\, strengthening fluency\, or simply growing in confidence\, this experience meets them where they are. \nAs part of our Get Curious series\, this program blends literacy\, curiosity\, and equine-assisted learning — all on the ground.
