DESCRIPTION:This program goes beyond reading and answering standard “comprehension” and “vocabulary” questions. \nYour child will be responsible for adding to the in-depth discussion of the book through various rotating: Discussion Director\, Illustrator\, Connector\, Wordsmith\, Summarizer & Investigator. The youth will also be interacting with the horses in a variety of activities (no riding) to reinforce learnings. \nNadine Davies is a local author who may be available on the final day to meet with the group. \nBook: The Adventures at the Short & Sweet Ranch by Nadine Davies (Students will be given the book on the first day.) \nDates: Tuesdays – April 5\, 12\, 19 & 26 \nTime:  1:00 – 2:30 p.m. OR 4:15 – 5:45 p.m. \nGrades: 4 and Up \nGroup Size:  6 \nLocation:  3135 West 22nd Street\, Kearney\, Nebraska \nCost: One time – $10 registration fee  (Disregard if previous paid)                                   $80 – Full Price (Plus $10 registration fee – unless previously paid)                              $50 – Partial Scholarship (Plus $10 registration fee – unless previously paid)               No full scholarships and t-shirts are available for this program at this time. \nRequirements: Closed-toed shoes\, Signed Release of Liability by parent/guardian (To be emailed to you after registration)
