DESCRIPTION:This program goes beyond reading and answering standard “comprehension” and “vocabulary” questions.  This unique Book Club is centered around “Literature Circle” concepts while engaging with a horse\, of course. \nYour child will discuss “The Smallest Horse” in depth.  Discussion will evolve around events and characters in the book\, the author’s craft\, or personal experiences related to the story. Your child will discover that even the smallest horse has a particular and much needed job to do in life. \nBook: The Smallest Horse by Lori List & Amanda Holbo. (Students will be given the book on the first day.) \nDates: Wednesdays- April 6\, 13\, 20 & 27 \nTime:  1:00 – 2:30 p.m. OR 4:15 – 5:45 p.m. \nGrades: 1-3 (Independent reading is a plus\, but not necessary.) \nGroup Size:  6 \nLocation:  3135 West 22nd Street\, Kearney\, Nebraska \nCost: One time – $10 registration fee in 2022. DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a fun afternoon – filled with unique cowboy poetry and Dutch Oven desserts – prepared on site. \nSunday\, February 27\, 2022 \n2:00 – 4:30 PM \nEagles Club – Ballroom – 17 West 24 Street\, Kearney\, NE \nCowboy Poets – RP Smith and Jake Riley \nTickets are “free”; however\, it is recommended that tickets are “purchased” as the seating is limited. Tickets may be obtained at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/cowboy-social-fundraiser-featuring-cowboy-poet-r-p-smith-tickets-229454563777 \nFree-will donations accepted at the event. Proceeds will be used to offset the program costs in the form of scholarships to children. \nAn opportunity to sponsor one of our five horses for the year 2022 will be available to you as well.  The sponsorship is $1500 per year. It may be paid annually\, $750 (2 payments)\, $375 (4 payments) or $125 (monthly).  Please contact us\, if you would like you secure your sponsorship of a particular horse before the event. \nSponsorships will include recognition on social media\, newsletters\, emails\, signage\, a leather pillow with the photo of the horse and receiving updates directly from the horse itself. \n
