DESCRIPTION:Whether you are just curious or absolutely positive your want to make a positive impact on the lives of children\, please join us for our Volunteer Orientation. You will learn the ins and outs of our programs as well as get to experience it first hand. \nAll new volunteers are required to attend only one of the following trainings. If you attended the Volunteer Orientation in June of 2021\, you do not attend. \nIf you volunteered for us prior to 2021\, you will need to attend this training. \nDates:  Tuesday\, September 7    OR   Wednesday\, September 8 \nTime:  6:00 pm to 7:30 pm \nClothing:  wear closed-toed shoes (Mandatory). \nAddress:  3135 West 22nd Street \nBring any paperwork (2021 Volunteer Application and Release of Liability)  that has not been previously submitted. \nWe are looking forward to seeing you again or seeing you for the first time.

DESCRIPTION:Making their child’s transition to school easier is every parent’s priority.\nYour child may feel excited about going back to school. However\, there may\nalso be anxiety about new teachers\, a different environment\, or even a\ncurriculum they perceive as too difficult. Our “Back to School” program partners with a horse to become a “living” diagram\, giving your child a physical tool for addressing the various challenges associated with going back to school. Your child will learn how to reframe those challenges as opportunities for a positive mind growth. \nTarget Skills:  Reframing challenges as opportunities\, teamwork & emotional resilience \nEach program will run three (3) consecutive days – two (2) hours per day. Choose only a morning or an evening program. \n\n9:00 – 11:00 AM OR 6:00 – 8:00 PM\n If program is full\, please contact us if you wish to be placed on a waiting list. \nUp to a maximum of 6 participants – dependent upon the number of students that have a behavioral Individual Education Plan.\n\nCost:  $200/$100*/ or No-Cost** \n\nPayment due on the first day of program (cash or check) or pay electronically via Donation page.\n\nGrades:  Kindergarten and up \nScholarships: \n\n**Full Scholarships may be limited  –  due to the number of applicants\n*Partial Scholarships ($100) are not limited\n\nActivities take place in an outdoor arena and activity shelter. We accomplish this by\nintroducing your child to the unique vocabulary associated with horses.
